Project Title: DSCRTP Data Management Enterprise
Goal or Purpose

The data management enterprise intends to deliver the highest quality data and analytical products available describing deep sea coral and sponge communities.  We strive to make all program data public as soon as possible.  Our goal is to have our data inform and have a positive impact on fisheries management decision making in the U.S. Fisheries Management Councils and world wide.  

Anticipated Management Application(s)
  • Informing fishing regulation and decision making processes
  • Siting of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)
  • Expansion and management of National Marine Sanctuaries 
  • Providing baseline information on deep sea coral and sponge ecosystems
  • Conservation of marine biodiversity
