Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent observations and specimens of deep-sea corals and sponges observed from the submersible during dives in 2005 off eastern Florida aboard the R/V Seward Johnson. Work was completed under the auspices of the HBOI Division of Biomedical Marine Research- Florida Center of Excellence Grant. Cruise locations included Straits of Florida and Pulley Ridge, Floriday Keys National NMS (JSL-I 4819-4845) cruise. Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
